| Ok, so I guess as I get older my Authoritarian tendencies have been relaxing and current events with the merger of my employer and the economy in general seem to be steering me much farther to left than I used to be. It amazes me how Republicans and like minded conservatives can be so hard-set against the working middle class and the labor-unions which support them.
I mean, think about it...
Conservatives tend to be pro business. Businesses want sales. This is how they generate income, and thus profit. Sales requires a decent product (not crap from China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the like), a fair price point, and most importantly, a customer which can afford to purchase the product.
So the bean counters as they are, start focusing on the profit margin. Hey, its what they do and we can't fault them for that.
